This is an exciting opportunity to work within a strong team of specialist, highly committed and enthusiastic teachers within a large, mainstream Secondary school in Darwen, Lancashire.

Start date: Monday 2nd September 2024.

Contract: Full-time, initially until March 2025.

The PE Department has a wide range of excellent facilities. This includes a specialist PE teaching room with new computers, a fully equipped air-conditioned fitness suite and a dance studio with mirrors. The school also has a fully equipped theatre with professional lighting and sound equipment and professional dance floor on the stage. Outside facilities include two newly resurfaced basketball courts, two netball courts, two tennis courts, two newly refurbished cricket nets, and two newly laid 3G full sized AstroTurf pitches. The department has also benefitted from recent refurbishments to the PE staff workroom, student and staff changing rooms and sports hall.
