 A reputable primary school in the heart of Burnley is looking to appoint an experienced, patient, and knowledgeable individual as a Key Stage 2 SEN Teaching and Learning Assistant. The role will be full time, (08:30-15:30) during weekdays on a temporary basis with the potential to be made permanent.

As a ‘Good’ school, the Head Teacher and SENCO are passionate about providing high quality inclusive provision for children with a range of Special Educational Needs. In light of school closures in prior years, the school is looking to employ a SEN Teaching and Learning Assistant to ensure the support offered to pupils is of the highest possible quality and volume across the key stage.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside a dedicated and friendly team of teachers and other learning support staff to support students within class and on a one to one basis. A sound knowledge of the curriculum is also necessary as to aid continual learning development through positive, nurturing, and innovative methods of learning. The school also consider it to be of the upmost importance that the candidate is able to help the pupil progress socially, as well as academically, and therefore should be a positive and approachable person able to build positive parent and pupil relationships with ease.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
