Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

  • Mainstream primary school - Hackney
  • A full-time role available (Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 3:30pm)
  • Experience supporting children or young adults with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs is desirable but not essential
  • Competitive rates between £85-£95 per day.

This school is looking to secure a proactive, strong willed individual who ideally has experience working with those who have special educational needs and can manage behaviours that challenge. As the children at this school have been excluded from mainstream education, it is important that applicants for this role are mentally strong and have no issues working in a fast paced environment. 

The Role

On a full-time long-term basis you will provide support to a pupil in year 3 with ASD. You will support pupils physical, social and emotional welfare and ensure the pupils needs are catered for. You will work alongside Teachers to adapt support according to the individualised need of the pupil

Requirements 

- DBS on the update service

- Uk address and right to work 

- Experience working with KS1/KS2 pupils

- Experience working with SEN

- Full time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
