Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at a reputable client secondary school in Old Trafford starting in September.

As a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with additional needs to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

This position will start from Thursday 5th September, and run full-time until the end of the academic year (July 2025).

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the support and education of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) under the guidance of experienced teachers.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with learning difficulties.
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best possible support for SEN students.

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their educational development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the field of special education.

Training and Development:

  • Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to support SEN students effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
